Moana 2

Review of Moana 2

3D: Depth is focused mainly on the foreground. Almost every scene renders depth below and above the screen plane. Some beautiful moments with depth, but there are no scenes with things going near the eyes. A pair of persons on the credits appear nearer than the rest (one is the Stereo renderer chief). There’s a scene in the credits with very good depth. Nice to watch in 3D.

4DX: Excellent use of some effects. There are countless squishes of water, but some of them arrive a second late. Ship movement on the water is too subtle. The exception is when there’s a storm near the end, which produces some great moments, with movement, lights, water -of course-, and even heat and fire. Few scenes with wind, and almost no of any other effects. Satisfying experience.
